I went to Gooloph today and did some work in the Gooloph garden. We just took possession of the house yesterday, so we went today and had some Tito's Pizza and did a whole lot of gardening in a tiny amount of time. My cousin who lives in Gooloph also happens to be a landscape architect, so he came with us to the plant nursery and helped us pick plants that will thrive at our house. We planted a sumac tree, two yuccah (sp?) plants, some japanese blood grass and some crazy curly spirally grass. At some point I want to go back and dig up the back yeard and plant some wild flowers and some herbs and some lavender. Yay gardening!

I've also decided that the official theme song for this move to Gooloph will be "Funky Town". Just listen to the words. It's clearly perfect.

I met one of my neighbours today too. He's about twenty-seven and he's a cop. He seems really nice. He said to me "don't worry I'm not going to give you guys any trouble" and that he'd be upset if we had a party and didn't invite him. He also said if we needed anything to come ask. That makes me feel better. When I found out he was a cop I was all concerned I was moving in next to some middle aged, right-wing, mase-the-hippies, kind of guy. Thank God.

For some reason though after all of today's activity I find myself unable to sleep. Very strange.

Now here's the thing: I'm fairly sure I spell Goo-loph with a -. You obviously don't. Which of us is right? Is there a formal, Oxford approved spelling for Goo-loph? Should we have a vote?

I can't wait to see the Goo-loph house... and to go up to the cop and say "Heyyyyyyyyyy copper!"

Excellent. I can't wait until you come to the Gooloph house! Maybe you and the cop will become best friends.

If I were you, as a housewarming party you guys should make a cd compilation consisting of NWA's "Fuck the Police" interrupted occasionally by pig noises or someone repeatedly going "oink oink oink oink". But then again, I don't think things out beforehand.
