Since course selection time has rolled around once again my paranoia about my future has resurfaced. Since all of the courses I seem to want to take fall under the category of "electives" I have decided that I will simply have to finish school and do what I can to survive. The following are some job possibilities for me in the future: Dog Breeder Salad Spinner Artist Professional BUtton Maker Wool Spinner Weaver Time Traveller Extraordinaire Dog Show Judge Sex Therapist Repo Perso...

I've been Lady Von Blogsalittle the past few days because frankly I am in the midst of the first of three hell weeks. Not good. But it's all right because I'm a virile woman. ) The most recent blog-worthy event occured on Saturday night. Phantom and I went to an Aussie Floyd concert that was absolutely amazing. For the first half they played all of Darkside followed by an intermission, and selections from various other Pink Floyd albums. I absolutely love Darkside of the Moon so for me ...

I'm taking a brief break from my current uber stress to blog. I have tons to write about, but I'm also typing this from under a huge pile of work that needs to get done. Literally what I look like right now is two hands poking out of a mass of text books and note books and papers frantically typing so I can get back to work as fast as possible. Despite all that, I've done a lot this week in terms of entertainment. Last night Bogina Janitor Standoff headed to Buddies in Badtimes theatre t...

My brain is melted! I'm not feelin' so hot and I still have tons to do. Oh it's all bad news! I guess I'll buckle down tomorrow. Bah. Today wasn't all that exciting really. The blue sky in the morning helped me push until the end of classes which was nice. I did a scene in Acting today where I had to scream and swear and freak out. I felt okay about it, but my prof told me that I seemed self-concious. Not surprising, since I rarely yell like that. Oh well. My afternoon was spent n...

Today was a long long day. I slept in until nine thirty-five, for my nine thirty class. Bad start. The rest of my day has just been struggly. I got back here around eleven. That is too long! I guess it doesn't help that I was up until 4am on sunday. Right now I'm running on pure caffeine. Not a good way to run! By far the best moment of the day was when tama stole my bathroom stall during the chicks in flicks break and I had to fight her for it. Otherwise, there was just a lot of r...

Excellent weekend. Incredibly good whorey, showy, drivey, smokey weekend. Let's break it down shall we: Friday Well it started like any normal Friday, but with more horrible rain. By the time I had finished my classes though the clouds had disappeared and it was beautiful and sunny and warm. I smiled my way back to rez, took a shower and packed my bag for an eventful weekend in Port Hope. Tama, Jess and I got in the car and headed to Tama's house, blaring Hawksley Workman ...

Stress factor of twelve! (Out of a possible ten.) I'm starting to feel the weight of four weeks left. What the hell happened! My life is going far too quickly for my liking! So now I have to worry about exams and papers as well as soaking up the last few weeks of residence life. I'm not going to live like this again until I hit the seniors homes so I'd better enjoy it! I had an angry encounter with the reserve desk clerk at the library this morning. I've been picking up the articles fo...

Boys... in the immortal words of Aretha Franklin "There ain't no way to love you, if you won't let me". Push out the jive, bring in the love! No more sexism and no more homophobia!

Phantom came to visit last night and left this afternoon. It was great to see him for some huggin' and lovin', but now I miss him so much more! Curse this knowing what you're missing! We slept in the library of my building because my crazy roommates won't let him stay in my room. Meh, they're afraid of the wang. 'Twas cold down there, but the brown paper over the window and the "if this room's a rockin' don't come a knockin'" sign provided us with some privacy. We had a good morning to...

Well that was a fun afternoon. Nothing like accidentally stirring shit up! Thanks to all those who contributed to the down fall of sir faky-von-fakington (we googled him). Don't mess urban-faery unless you want some smack down layed on ya by me and my posse.I had no intention of an innocent article about praising vaginas to become such a "shitstorm". The initial comment I received was not about the vagina monologues it was an attack on my character and an offensive statement all together, ...

I'm constantly shocked by people who refuse to open their minds to breaking down barriers of sexism, not to mention racism and homophobia. I don't understand how people can't understand the importance of discussing these issues and empowering marginalized people. I was incredibly impressed by the amount of men that showed up last night to support women and learn more about women's issues. There were teenaged men, middle aged men, and elderly men. It just goes to show the importance of ev...

Last night a bunch of us went to help out selling tickets and chocolate vaginas at the Vagina Monologues (or yacking yonis as I like to call it). The show was good. It was really great to see twenty seven women up on stage breaking the taboo and spreading the word about the power and the uniqueness of each and every fabulous vagina. They talked about discovering your own vagina, sex, rape, violence against women, menstruation, childbirth, orgasms, and vagina warriors who fight to make a d...
